Oxid Bungalow is a lounging room and air filter using phytoremediation, peat, and chalk to filter acids, heavy metals, and other toxins. Oxid Bungalow is created by Pia Lindman and designed in collaboration with Berlin-based architect Svea Heinemann

Background info
Oxid Bungalow was first developed and shown at Stay Hungry exhibition Gleisdreieck Schrebergarten, Berlin, Germany. From July 2011 to end of 2012, Oxid Bungalow stood next to the river at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin. On September 7th, 2013, it is reconstructed for the Experiment Days in Tempelhof, Berlin.
Oxid Bungalow is part of Poison and Play, a series of experiments, workshops, and performances by Pia Lindman.
Poison and Play was first developed with the curators of Stay Hungry, Anna Redeker and Theo Ligthart, and later with the support of Haus der Kulturen der Welt and curator Valerie Smith.

Trip to Rüggen 11.4 2011
Svea Heinemann, Freja Bäckman and Pia Lindman took a trip to Rüggen to find chalk, 'kreide', and peat, 'torf', for Oxid Bungalow. Check out the images documenting this two-day adventure.
